IN 1979, OSULLOC STARTED CULTIVATING ITS FIELDS ON KOREA’S JEJU ISLAND, A NAtuRAL SETTING OPTIMAL FOR GROWING TEA. THE FOUNDER OF AMOREPACIFIC GROUP, JANGWON SUH SUNG-WHAN, BEGAN THIS JOURNEY WITH HIS STRONG COMMITMENT TO REVIVING KOREAN TEA CULTURE.

IT TOOK MANY YEARS TO HARNESS THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND MAKE THE BARREN ISLAND GREEN. FIELD BY FIELD, OSULLOC ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS KOREA’S NUMBER-ONE TEA BRAND.

IN 1999, OSULLOC INTRODUCED ITS HIGHLY REGARDED ILLOHYANG TEA. THAT SAME YEAR, ILLOHYANG WON THE WORLD PREMIUM TEA PRIZE AT THE BEIJING TEA EXPO AND WENT ON TO WIN FIRST PLACE AT THE NORTH AMERICAN TEA CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2009, 2011, 2012, AND 2014. ADDITIONALLY, OUR SEJAC TEA WON GOLD AT THE 2009, 2013, AND 2014 WORLD GREEN TEA CONTESTS IN SHIZUOKA, JAPAN. OUR TEAS HAVE ALSO BEEN RECOGNIZED WITH MANY ADDITIONAL AWARDS AND PRIZES.

IN 2001, OSULLOC OPENED ITS TEA MUSEUM ON JEJU ISLAND SURROUNDED BY THE BEAUTIFUL TEA FARMS TO SHARE THE RICH HISTORY AND CULTURE OF TEA. MANY OF OUR TEAS HAVE BEEN CERTIFIED AS USDA ORGANIC, IFOAM, EU ORGANIC, AND ORGANIC AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS SINCE 2010.

TODAY, OSULLOC OPERATES A NUMBER OF EXCLUSIVE TEA SALONS THROUGHOUT KOREA INCLUDING TEA MUSEUM ON JEJU ISLAND AND TEA HOUSE IN BUKCHON, SEOUL.
